What a great weekend - four horses and 4 ribbons brought home!

It was a very rushed morning getting all the horses mucked out and horses loaded. I over slept which I haven't done in a very long time. I must have pressed the off button instead of the snooze oops! Luckily Kirsty woke me up with a phone call!!  Amazingly we did still manage to get there on time.

Had the three 90 girls out again, Penny, Bea and Mouse. They all did super dressage tests. Mouse had a 29.5, Penny who gets better every time I take her out 28.3 and Bea just let the side down (only slightly!) with 31.5 which is still very good.

Penny won her section with a super double clear and is now moving up to 100s. She felt the best yet going XC. Bea also did a great double clear coming 7^th and Mouse came 2^nd!

Went up on Sunday with Ollie -  more time to think when you just have the one competing! He also scored a great dressage of 28 but had the first pole down SJ which is really odd for Ollie, he soon picked his toes up after that.

Followed up with a super fast XC round coming home with a 6^th adding more points to the South East Eventers League Rankings.

October - December UPDATE!

Sorry about the late blog post I've been a busy girl even though the eventing season is over for the year!!

The season ended for me in October and the livery horses went home for their rest and mine had a bit of time off so I could go off to Dubai to sun myself!! 

It was a last minute booking and just went for the 5 days which wasn't long enough!! It's my second time to Dubai and I love it, we are really lucky that my fiancé sister lives there, so we stay in her lovely apartment overlooking the Marina and the beach is only 10 minutes walk away ! It was nice to get away and relax and spend time with my fiancé (well some of the time)!!!

Back from my holiday I've just had the 5 in work and a new livery horse coming for breaking,  Which is always exciting starting a young horse off.

I was asked again to do the dressage teams again this year for the RVRC with Clare Welton-Cole, Sarah Baldwin & Tanya Draude. Last time we did it you may remember we won the Championships this year at Hartpury. 

We had to go off to Ardingly to the South of England Showground for the Qualifier on the 2nd December this time Clare and I were doing the Prelim test & Sarah and Tanya the Novice. I took my trusty partner Corby aka Cullawn My Way (who is for sale!) . He did a super test with 71.88% and won his section Clare was 4th so we were laying 2nd after our test so no pressure on the two girls!! But they did great and as a team we came 2nd so qualified for the Championships again in March 2013.   Fingers crossed!

Also have some good news to share there will be a little person with me next year, so you'll be seeing my mum pushing a little person around the events!! It means I won't be starting eventing until July only half a season for me next year :-(  Planning on doing lots of dressage with the ponies until then.I took Corby and Ollie to Golden Cross last Saturday for dressage and they came 1st & 2nd and 2nd & 3rd in their tests.

Nearly forgot I did a very exciting photo shoot for a calendar called Fifty Shades of Dapple Grey lots of eventers took part it was a bit of a rush to get it ready for the South East Eventers League (SEEL) Ball but we did it thanks to Sam Penn and Sarah Hayter.  My month is June and the calendar page is kindly sponsored by my wonderful supportive and generous sponsors Dragonfly Saddlery & Pets. South East Eventers League (SEEL) Ball - Saturday 4 December 2010

Had a great time at the SEEL Seahorse Ball on Saturday 4 December. A group of 12 friends came to enjoy the evening at the Hop Farm in Paddock Wood.

Holly and I were placed in two of the categories this year - 2nd in the Leading Mare and 6th in the Leading Owner/Rider.

There was less opportunity this year for Holly and I to gain lots of points as we are competing at Open Intermediate and also moved up to Advanced.

Dinner at the ball was melon (must admit I prefer my fruit for pudding!) traditional turkey dinner and chocolate fudge cake. The chocolate fudge cake was huge! I put all of the left over cake onto one plate and we challenged Matthew to eat the lot - he did very well but didn't quite manage it!

As usual lots of drinks were consumed and I spent a large part of the evening on the Bronco Bull. I was leading for most of the evening on 64 seconds. Pipped at the post by Sam Penn who managed to stay on for 70 seconds I couldn't better it with my best score being 67 seconds! I have really been feeling the pain though with blisters on my knees and they are only just healing!

I spotted Sharon Hunt and Sasha Pemble on the bull too! I also saw Alex Hua Tian who was collecting an award.

The SEEL is great and there are so many people that put in a lot of effort to make sure the league keeps running and obviously all of the sponsors too who are very generous.

Fingers crossed for next year - who knows with Lady now back in work she may feature in the Leading Mare again!!

SEEL Final Results - Confirmed!

The final results for the South East Eventers League (http://www.south-east-eventers-league.co.uk/) have been confirmed.

Holly and I have won the Leading Owner/Rider and Leading Mare and 2nd in Leading Horse & Rider and Leading Intermediate.

I am looking forward to the Seahorse Ball on 14th November and will post some pictures on here!

A big thank you to all who have supported me this season. I'm really looking forward to next year and hope to do some bigger events with Holly.
